22+ Knotts Wednesday

We finished 8th.  There was a thrill in the air as we prepared for the start.  Sails were boned up and all the boats were reaching around.  The Down wind legs were crazy with the spinnakers getting a role on, swinging from side to side – pulling the boat with it.  A roar of whitewater would tumble off the quarter wake as the tiller was thrust against the swing of the spinnaker. Very exciting. A number of boats broke there spinnaker poles and some chose to not even sail with them, still tearing down wind at hull speed wing in wing.
